Terms of Service

Here at Dear Dr. C, our goal is to provide Christian, biblical counseling in helping you meet your challenges in life. We strive to help you learn how to live a lifestyle that will be pleasing, glorifying, and honoring to the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. C believes that God has a tremendous love for you and your life and that He desires for you to enjoy Him first, your loved ones, and your life while fulfilling the plans and purposes He has for you.

Biblically-Based, Christ-Centered Counseling

DearDrC.com and Dr. C believe that the Bible provides comprehensive, wise guidance, and instruction for your faith and life:

II Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

II Peter 1:3
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Romans 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

Dear Dr. C and Dr. C’s Christian counseling is based purely on God’s Holy Word. Although Dr. C’s training and degrees are in Education, Psychology, and Biblical Counseling, she does not practice as a physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist, but solely as a Biblical Counselor. DearDrC.com and Dr. C do not provide the same kind of professional advice and service that a physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist would. If you have significant legal, financial, medical, or other technical questions, you should seek advice from independent professionals not associated with Dr. C at DearDrC.com. Dr. C will be happy to cooperate with such advisors and help you to consider their counsel in the light of relevant biblical principles. By agreeing to these terms of service, you (the Counselee, Counselees) are signing this “Terms of Service” and you agree to hold DearDrC.com, Dr. C, and all the affiliates, links, resources, education and information and advice on DearDrC.com harmless in any and all matters associated with the biblical and educational/informative advice you have received.

In addition, you (the Counselee or Counselees) hereby agree to and confirm to hold DearDrC.com, Dr. C, and all counselors at DearDrC.com, and its affiliates, links, and resources, harmless from any advice, counsel, education and/or information, or suggestions rendered before, during, and after your counseling sessions. By agreeing to and confirming to all of the terms of service stated here, you have at the same level signed a release, releasing Dr. C, DearDrC.com, and all the affiliates, links, resources, and advice as harmless from any advice, counsel, or suggestions rendered before, during and after your counseling sessions. These terms of service adhere to single, individual, couple, partnership, teams, group, and family counseling, whereby all parties involved who are receiving counseling, advice, education, and/or information on depression, or suggestions agree to these same terms.

If you are not a true Christian (follower of only Jesus Christ, and the beliefs of Christianity), you (the Counselee or Counselees) understand and agree to that by purchasing counseling sessions here at DearDrC.com that you will only receive biblical counseling purely from the holy Scriptures of God, which may go against all of your beliefs, traditions, culture, faith, lifestyle, lifestyle choices, sexuality, and/or religion. Secular and/or worldly advice will not be considered nor offered to you, but only biblical counsel adhered to under the beliefs of Christianity. You agree to these terms of service, as well as all the terms of service stated hereunder this terms of service document.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is an important aspect of the counseling process, and we will carefully guard the information you entrust to us. However, there are four situations when it may be necessary for us to share certain information with others: (1) when a counselor is uncertain of how to address a particular problem and needs to seek advice from another pastor or elder in this church; (2) when a counselee attends another church and it is necessary to talk with his or her pastor or elders; (3) when there is a clear indication that someone may be harmed unless we otherwise intervene; or (4) when a person persistently refuses to renounce a particular sin and it becomes necessary to seek the assistance of others in the church to encourage repentance and reconciliation (see Proverbs 15:22; 24:11; Matthew 18:15-20). Please be assured that our counselors strongly prefer not to disclose personal information to others, and they will make every effort to help you find ways to resolve a problem as privately as possible.

DearDr.C.com and Dr. C will not, under any circumstances, issue refunds for any cancellation or resignation of service. No refund is available for counseling sessions, or any DearDrC.com service after your purchase. If you do not use all of the sessions that you have purchased, a refund will not be issued to you.
